How We Work
At LairdKing we work to help you with your build, whether it be for commercial purposes, a development or your family home. We try to work to a similar process across all projects to provide a consistent approach.
We aim to provide amazing customer support, quality work, and fun systems that you can use, enjoy, and be proud of.
Our Process:
Initial consultation – time with us walking around your building site or current property (if retro fit) or talking over your architectural plans. We listen to your requirements, discuss the level of technology you would like, how integrated you would like it, and how hidden you would like it. From this we put together a proposal documentation to provide you with the ideal solution for your requirements.
Discussion Time – Following a proposal there are questions to be asked and choices to be made and were are on hand to assist in this.
Design Work – Our design team work on your plans we receive from your Architect. The design work we undertake is dependent on systems you choose, but ultimately we design where every cable should go in your home, what cable they should be, and the design of any distribution boards, and AV racks. With the right design the installation will be simple and efficient.
Installation Work – Although we provide you with a team of installers both electrical and for AV we very often work with your chosen electrician. We tend to prefer to install any automated or AV products ourselves.
Programming – When cables and equipment are installed and all wired together we assign your project a programmer who works with you to make sure your system works as required. This often requires graphical design as we can make a graphical interface to your control system as bespoke as you require.
Commissioning – We spend 2-3 days in your building testing and signing off the installation. All documentation is put together into a user pack along with instructions, designs, and contacts.
After this we watch you enjoy your system.
