Telephone & Date Networks

Telephone and data networks must be planned carefully to allow for the installation of both wired and wireless products that we all use.

For telephones the infrastructure may seem simple but designing into a business or home a system with many lines and extensions can be complex. Not only the infrastructure is set up but all the detail down to the ring tone, how many dials before answer phone, answer phone setup , and training in how to make the most out of your phone system. Along with a traditional telephone system we now have Skype and this too must be linked into the clients requirements.

The Data network of a building provides an infrastructure for range of information, files, pictures, music, video. The cabling must be of adequate quality to transfer all this data. A wired network is still and will always be more favourable than a complete wireless one. Wireless works best in dry and warm conditions, in many areas we experience wet and damp. Wireless does not work through granite walls or those with foil backed insulation. The answer in our network designs is to have a wired building with wireless components.
